Tiptree Strawberry Preserve Balsamic Vinaigrette
Many top chefs will tell you that store bought salad dressings are inferior compared to 4 ingredient dressings that you can easily make at home. This Tiptree-based strawberry vinaigrette is great for summer salads that feature nuts and other fruits.
Strawberry is a naturally sweet fruit that plays nicely with the base-ness of balsamic vinegar. When combined, the two create a deep somewhat sweet, somewhat bold flavor. Combined with olive oil, the concoction becomes a dark, velvety dressing that is sure to brighten up any meal.
How to make the Strawberry Preserve Balsamic Vinaigrette
Ingredients you’ll need:
The process of making the vinaigrette is fairly simple. First add the preserve and balsamic vinegar into a mixing bowl and whisk them together until the two components are completely incorporated. The mixture should look like a dark red, slightly thick balsamic vinegar. Then slowly drizzle in the olive oil into the balsamic and strawberry mixture, whisking vigorously as you go. The olive oil will naturally want to separate from the mixture, be sure to pour slowly to get it to fully mix.
Once all the ingredients are mixed together, you'll want to add salt and pepper to taste. You can easily store the dressing in a small glass container or a homemade salad dressing bottle in the fridge for several days.
