Assam is my daily "Go to" tea, and I drink a lot of it. Currently, I have 8 lbs of assorted loose leaf Assam, from different plantations, in my pantry. Some cost 3x as much as as this blend. That said, the Taylors of Harrogate is the one I return to again and again. This one brews to a deep, coppery cup that is malty and satisfying. Assam teas are best served with a splash of milk or cream to bind the tannins. I like a bit of sweetener in mine as well: sugar, or Splenda (Sucralose) both do well in this tea. Honey changes the flavor, and is not recommended. Each tea bag (or 2.5 grams of loose leaf tea) makes 16 z of tea.
