Imagine tasting 1000 brews a day How many
cups of tea do you have a day? Three? Six? Ten? More? Well, our tea
buying team tastes anything up to 1000 every Monday, Tuesday and
Wednesday. That's a serious amount of tea. Obviously, they don't
have a mug of each, but they do taste every single one and use their
carefully trained palates to analyze and judge each tea. Every day,
new tea samples are delivered and there's a whole team dedicated to
preparing each one precisely to the tasters' requirements. It's
quite a sight!
If a tea's worth brewing... At Taylors of
Harrogate, we like to do things properly. We don't see the point in
cutting corners on the way we do things or skimping on quality.
That's short term thinking. We do whatever we can to ensure that
everything we produce makes you smile and confirms you made the
right choice. To be honest, we do it as much for our benefit as for
yours! We simply couldn't stand to make something we didn't feel
proud of. One taste and we think you'll know exactly what we
mean.
Hip to be square You've got to put great
quality tea into a teabag to get great flavor out. We don't muck
around with funny shaped bags because it's the tea that's inside
that makes the difference between a proper brew and a disappointing
one. We'll stick with filling traditional square tea bags with
quality tea, thank you very much, and leave teabag fads to the
rest.
Quality isn't the only thing important to
us Working with the Rainforest Alliance helps us to
improve working conditions and living standards in tea growing
countries all over the world. We also aim to respect the environment
too, by minimizing the effect that tea growing can have on the
planet. Our commitment includes extensive tree planting, significant
reductions in the agro-chemicals used, more efficient plant
husbandry, better waste management and water treatment.
